Unforgettable Family Vacation

There is an unfortunate misconception going around that the two words ‘family’ and ‘vacation’ don’t belong in the same sentence – maybe not even in the same book, unless it’s a fantasy novel. If you are among the large percentage of Americans who feel that kids and vacations just aren’t compatible, you ought to think again.

The most important thing to remember is that everyone who goes along on a family vacation should get to have a vacation. This is going to mean different things to different people, including family members. Adults, in many cases, are hoping for a little stress-free change of pace – not too much excitement, but enough to keep the blood moving nicely. Kids, as a general rule, just want to have fun, and that can cover just about anything.

The key here is to plan your vacation in a spot that offers every family member a lot of the things that he or she enjoys most. This may sound impossible, but with a little discussion

3 Most Important Games With Title Implications

Although the BCS system itself is flawed, and many fans and media members, and even coaches and players are clamoring for a playoff in college football, one thing that the BCS does do is magnify the importance of the regular season, and bring more meaning to each game, each week on the field. This season is no short of any intense matchups, but I am going to look at the 3 most important games that have BCS title implications.

The first big matchup on September 6th between the Boise State Broncos and Virginia Tech Hokies, might have the most national title implications. Boise ran the table last year, but was left out of the big game due to a lack of quality opponents. So, to answer that, they scheduled Virginia Tech to kick off the season, another major program with big hopes. It is going to be a high scoring game, filled with offense as both teams have playmakers that are going to be sure to put points on the board. It’s going to be a back and forth battle, but

Top 5 Orlando Attractions other than Disney

If you have had enough of Disney, there are Orlando attractions that having nothing to do with the World of Disney. Here are the top 5 Orlando attrctions with no connection with Disney World or its other theme parks in Orlando.

Islands of Adventure

This is part of the Universal Studios resort, and is situated across from the studios close to International Drive. The creative consultant for the park was Steven Spielberg and you can easily see his influence in the spectacular design. Get there early, because it can get busy, and although the official opening time is 9 am, they often open the doors sooner.

Agreed, these queues can get pretty long, but Islands of Adventure have a Universal Express fast pass option, whereby your ticket can be used to make an advance booking for your ride and you are given express admission at the alloted time. Your queue is shorter and you save time waiting on rides. Islands of Adventure is a wonderful place to visit and

These 2009 highlights feature players who return for the 2010 season. You will not find a Tim Tebow or Joe Haden or Brandon Spikes highlight, this video is only for players that will make an impact in 2010 for the Florida Gators.

College Football: Commissioner Goodell Meets with Coaches

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell talked with the top four coaches in college football to address widening concerns from the college ranks about agents contacting college players, which has been a “flavor of the month” scenario in the college football game as the NCAA is casting a wide net in its investigation of such occurrences. Included in the latest NCAA inquiry are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Florida’s Urban Meyer, Texas’ Mack Brown, Alabama’s Nick Saban and Ohio State’s Jim Tressel, all got to bend Goodell’s ear on Thursday in a conference call that was organized by Saban, a former NFL coach with the Miami Dolphins.

“We’re all trying to put our heads together to figure out what we can do to level the playing field so that everybody that’s in the agent community – which some of them are very professional – have the same opportunity to recruit players and that the bootleggers out there are guys that get

2010 College Football Predictions – Georgia

2010 College Football Predictions – Georgia

2009 marked a low point during the Mark Richt era. The Bulldogs’ 8-5 record was the worst in Richt’s nine seasons. Georgia finished in the bottom half of the SEC in both scoring offense and defense. The defense was bad by just about any standards, causing Richt to part ways with three of his four defensive assistants. But there is reason to believe that 2010 will treat the Dawgs better. Richt is 90-27 during his stay in Athens, and wins don’t pile up like that unless you’re doing something right. With Tim Tebow and eight other Gators making the jump to the NFL Georgia is optimistic that it can get back to the top of the SEC East this season, but I can assure you it won’t be easy. After all, Florida crushed the Dawgs 41-17 last season and the cupboard is not empty in Gainesville. The Dawgs rebounded from that loss to win four of their final five games, including a victory over Texas A&M in the Independence Bowl. That gives them some nice momentum heading into the

4 of the Biggest Rivalries in the History of NCAA Division I Football

What would college football be without rivalries? Rivalries can make regular season games seem like playoff games. Battling another school across the state border or within the state can be the biggest game of the season. The players get excited. The players get excited. The community gets excited! Here are some of the most noteworthy rivalries in NCAA football:

1. Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles

These two teams have been battling in their intrastate rivalry, since 1958. Florida leads the series, 31-19-2. People sometimes refer to this competition as the “Sunshine Showdown” (referring to Florida’s nickname as the Sunshine State), or the “Governor’s Cup.” Adding to the thrill of the game, one or both of the schools’ football teams have had high national rankings the week of their meeting, since 1990. In fact, since Bobby Bowden began coaching Florida State in 1976, the series has been virtually deadlocked.

The Bobby Bowden Era Is Up

The Bobby Bowden Era Is Up

For 34 years Florida State University head football coach Bobby Bowden has helped his team become one of the most storied college football programs of all time. During his tenure the Seminoles have won two national championships and 12 ACC (Atlantic Coastal Conference) titles. Bowden has also led the Seminoles to 14 straight ten win seasons in which the team finished ranked in the top five each season. One of his biggest accomplishments is the fact that Bowden only had one losing season as the head coach of Florida State.

It’s hard to believe that the man who built the program to be what it is today will be forced to step away after the Seminoles bowl game this year. With Bowden stepping down and retiring offensive coordinator Jumbo Fisher will be taking over as the head coach. Fisher was deemed Bowden successor at the end of the 2007 season and was slated to be paid million if he had not received the head coaching position by 2011. After the season

2010 Nfl Draft Preview

Now here are the top players for 2010 nfl draft.

1. Jevan Snead, QB, Mississippi (JR): He’s a strong-armed junior who has the same type of arm that Stafford has. He will be “The Man” next year. You wait and see.

2. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska: He should have come out for this draft. Watch his Gator Bowl tape against Clemson. He could not be blocked.

3. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma (JR): Bradford would have been a top 5 pick this year. But he opted to come back. He has a good arm, not a great arm. But he is deadly accurate.

4. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma (JR): At 6-5, 300 pounds, he has the quickness to be an effective pass rusher. He had 6½ sacks last season.

5. Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida (JR): He’s a long, athletic defensive end who can rush the passer. Those players have great value. He is raw, but at 6-6, 290 pounds he has the size teams crave.

6. Russell Okung, T, Oklahoma State: He’s a 6-5, 300-pound power player

The History Of The Jacksonville Jaguars

The History Of The Jacksonville Jaguars

Copyright (c) 2010 Matthew Love

The history of the Jacksonville Jaguars is relatively short considering they began as a expansion team in 1995. They play in Jacksonville, Florida, and joined the Central Division of the AFC at the same time as the Carolina Panthers. In 2002, the NFL realigned divisions and the Jaguars became a part of the AFC South Division, this meant a change in competitors. Jacksonville is known as a great place for football, boasting college and pro games, celebrating big games with parties and parades. A look back in Jacksonville history documents them hosting the 1967 and 1968 All Star Game of the AFL. They had made many attempts over the years to acquire an NFL franchise, first chasing after the Baltimore Colts with no avail, and then setting their sights on the Houston Oilers. They even created a “Jacksonville Oilers” banner and designated an area of the stadium as non-alcoholic and family oriented to try to win this team over in the late
